ANDAMAN ISLAND

The Place - This 2580 Sq. Km wide Island was named as Good Spirit Island, by Tollemi during World War - II. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose named it as Sahid or Swaraj Island during World War - II. Japan took control of this Island and on 6th December 1943, Japan P. M. Tsojo transferred the control in the hand of Provisional Government of Azad Hind Fouj. During British rule revolutionaries were sentenced Kalapani and were sent to Cellular Jail in Port Blair.
